Dear Utah Summer Games Shootists:

Y'all are totally awesome, fer sure! On behalf of The Coal Creek Cowboys, the Utah Summer Games, Cedar City and Iron County, we'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate each of you on your accomplishments during the 2008 Utah Summer Games . . . and also to extend our sincere, heartfelt gratitude for taking the time from your busy schedules to stop by and "play cowboy" with us. .

As always, our goal was to provide you with three full days of quality, challenging shooting competition. Our hope is that we are able to provide you with a "big match" experience ... but still keep everything fun and personable. We pray that you'll agree.

Penny and I are truly humbled by the support given us by our friends, both old and new. Should we accomplish nothing else in this sport, we've forged friendships that we hope will last beyond time. As tired as we were on Saturday night, we were nonetheless happy that our efforts brought you joy. Our tears were real ... if someone had told us years ago that a bunch of "grown-ups" ... dressed up to play cowboy ... could have become so important to us, we would never have believed them. Our heroes will always be cowboys . . . even more so since we've been so blessed to share this small part of your lives.
